Awarded the Blue Peter Book Award, this is indeed a very inspiring story. Though this is not an action packed story, at the end, I was pretty much satisfied. Those who love magic and sword fighting and stuff...one advice: Stay away from this book. However, I think that even those who hate books that are more emotionly based should give it a shot. For a book about courage and self discovery, it is very well written indeed. A 5/5 for this one.

Based on the book cover and the given synopsis, I had expected something more like FBI and murder case and an action- packed story. I could say that it was a let down. I kept reading, expecting more but it just nevr came. Then I reached the end of the story and I was still waiting for something BIG to happen. It never came. So, you can't judge a book by it's cover huh? Well, all I can say is thnat it is a great book about humanity and friendship and conflict between religions. I can say it is a fine book. Inspiring, though not as Feather Boy. It's an OK read if you're bored. A 3.5/5 for this one.

If you don't mind a book in which almost ALL of the characters die and a lot of blood sheded, I guess it's an OK book. It's not exactly seriouly scary, as the warning at the back of the book stated. It's DISGUSTING. That's more like it. I just don't get it... why are demons are always so blood-thirsty and evil in books. They hunt humans and all. Aren't humans the same? We kill animals for living and we destroy their homeland. What is it that different between humans and demons. Fact: Demons are a tad bit more stupid and they DON'T have establishments like WFF to protect human species. And they don't have zoos. Well, to put apart the 'demon' fact, it is still a good book about humanity, courage, cowardy, selfisness, hope, good and evil of human beings. Rate? 4/5. P.S. My friend SMD (not superintendent mental doctor if you are nuts enough to think so) like this series (not crazy about it, just like), she's a little crazy over books by Virginia Andrews. And this copy that I'm reading is suppose to be her Christmas gift. Hahaha! o.O You: The blogger is CRAZY!

I regret to say I did not enjoyed it as much as Lirael. Perhaps it was because of the lack of humour but it was appropriate, as everything seems so bleak. However, I find it not as heart frighthening as I expected. And there seem to be less words about how the characters feel. And I must say less face to face conflict. And everything was expectable. I was surprised that it was supposed to be the climax. Oh well, I guess it's pretty hard to write a good book. 4/5.
-.- Nevertheless, it was a great book about resposibility and humanity. A good read indeed.

A simple story at it's best, Ella Enchanted is a mixture of a curse and Cinderella. I guess it's entertaining, and since I borrowed it from a local library, I can't say it's nolt worth my money. Awarded the Newberry Award, it is an okay story for me. I had expected more conflict, but it was still okay. Don't worry, such books only have a happy ending. 4/5.
Sypnosis- (I just straight away copy from the website, out of time)
At her birth, Ella of Frell was the unfortunate recipient of a foolish fairy's gift--the "gift' of obedience. Ella must obey any order given to her, whether it's hopping on one foot for a day and a half, or chopping off her own head! But strong-willed Ella does not tamely accept her fate. Against a bold backdrop of princes, ogres, giants, wicked stepsisters, and fairy godmothers, Ella goes on a quest to break the curse--once and for all.
