I'm wondering...

I saw this kind of post at my friend (Pei Er's) blog. So, I though of making a carbon copy of it  via my perspective since I have nothing better to do. NOTE: Facebook and Quizilla is boring to me, for now anyway...

Did the last person you held hands with you mean anything to you now? : Uhm... My brother? Note: I don't want to let him go astray in a shopping mall do I and he 's 4.

Do you sleep with the TV on? : More like my father's thing to do...

What are you doing right now? : My brain is processing what am I suppose to do and my fingers typing and my heart beating and my lungs breathing-in short, being alive.

Have you ever crawled through a window? : Crawl no, jump...yes. Yeah, once when I was chasing after one of my ex-classmate to get my water bottle back. Great. I shall call the water bottle to act as  witness if my lord has any questions.

Can you handle the truth? : Depends on how dynamic it is. Might be dynamites under my mattress.

Are you closer to your mother or father? : 100% my dadio! Wait, on 2nd thoughs my mom. No, wait, I think it is my dad.

Who was the last person you cried in front of? : my pillow!

Do you eat healthy? : Nope. Over-consuming of chocolate is ddefinately not healthy right?

Do you still have pictures of you & your ex?: I don't have one and even so, my dad dosen't trust me with a camera, I broke his ex-ex-camera.

Have you ever cried because of something someone said to you? : I did. My piano teacher quited a after a long lecture on how a failure I was (though in gentle tone). I still need to thank her for making me realize I don't like piano. Or do I? I do.

How often do you go to church?: Not a christian so never.

If you're having a bad day, Who are you most likely to go to? : My pillow or my aunt.

Are you loud or quiet most of the time?: Depends... I believe I have split personality *just joking*.

Are you confident?: Absolutely NOT! I need to self console myself just to do a presentation in class with my friend!

About Books

I went to the bookshop a few days ago, hunting about for books. However, I must say that I was pretty disappointed. I found iout that now, most of the books are split into three branches (mostly for teens). The first branch is a typical story line of a girl and a boy, blah balh, then pow! Vampires!. The next branch is the typical...The Dark Lord has risen and the fate of the world lays in the hand of XX who has magic powers. The third and last barch is a cloone of the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. XX found a map, sating blah blah blah, following the symbols, blah balh, found out the anicient secrets of Babylon, anicient times...blah balh, secret uncovered.... balh.

OMG! Give me a break! How are we suppose to enjpy reading similiar storylines again and again. Geez... I feel that all the spark of imagination that human ever had were all simply put out, POOF by the put outer. I hope that one day, I would find a book unlike others...

Book Review #5

Book Review #5
I Finally Posted This... Am I Not Glad? Geez... Well, sorry, no more Anime Post.

Feather Boy

Written by Nicky Singer
Published by Harper Collins
286 Pages
(now a motion-picture)

Blogger's Note
Awarded the Blue Peter Book Award, this is indeed a very inspiring story. Though this is not an action packed story, at the end, I was pretty much satisfied. Those who love magic and sword fighting and stuff...one advice: Stay away from this book. However, I think that even those who hate books that are more emotionly based should give it a shot. For a  book about courage and self discovery, it is very well written indeed. A 5/5 for this one.

Synopsis
It all started when Catherine the storyteller announced the Elder's Project. Robert Nobel is the class victim, the guy who's never picked for the team and bullied. So, no one was more surprised than Robert when an old lady picked him to be her partner and sends him to a quest to solve the mystery of the Chance House where it is rumoured that a boy around Robert's age once fell into death from an upper window. To get to the truth, Robert needs to learn what it really means to fly.

Based on the book cover and the given synopsis, I had expected something more like FBI and murder case and an action- packed story. I could say that it was a let down. I kept reading, expecting more but it just nevr came. Then I reached the end of the story and I was still waiting for something BIG to happen. It never came. So, you can't judge a book by it's cover huh? Well, all I can say is thnat it is a great book about humanity and friendship and conflict between religions. I can say it is a fine book. Inspiring, though not as Feather Boy. It's an OK read if you're bored. A 3.5/5 for this one.

Book Four, The Demonata: Bec

Written by Darren Shan (Pen Name)
Published by Harper Collins
262 Pages

Blogger's Note
If you don't mind a book in which almost ALL of the characters die and a lot of blood sheded, I guess it's an OK book. It's not exactly seriouly scary, as the warning at the back of the book stated. It's DISGUSTING. That's more like it. I just don't get it... why are demons are always so blood-thirsty and evil in books. They hunt humans and all. Aren't humans the same? We kill animals for living and we destroy their homeland. What is it that different between humans and demons. Fact: Demons are a tad bit more stupid and they DON'T have establishments like WFF to protect human species. And they don't have zoos. Well, to put apart the 'demon' fact, it is still a good book about humanity, courage, cowardy, selfisness, hope, good and evil of human beings. Rate? 4/5. P.S. My friend SMD (not superintendent mental doctor if you are nuts enough to think so) like this series (not crazy about it, just like), she's a little crazy over books by Virginia Andrews. And this copy that I'm reading is suppose to be her Christmas gift. Hahaha! o.O You: The blogger is CRAZY!

Synopsis
A tunnel is formed between the human and demon realm. Demons (or Demonatas) are starting to invade the human world. As a baby, Bec(which means little one)  fought for her lkife. As a trainee priestess she fights to fit into her tribe (MacConn tribe). Bec's magic is weak and untrain until she meets the druid, Drust. Under his leadership, Bec and a small band of warriors, a simpleton boy, an ex-king, a deputy king and a smith embarks upon a quest to seal the tunnel between the human realm and the Demon world. But the journey is perilous and many morfe demons lies in the dark. But the final conflict demands a scrifice too horrific to contemplate... Can Drust and the others make to the tunnel at time? Is all lost when all they have is only hope? Is there a chance for humankind to survie? Read it now!

Abhorsen

Blogger's Note
I regret to say I did not enjoyed it as much as Lirael. Perhaps it was because of the lack of humour but it was appropriate, as everything seems so bleak. However, I find it not as heart frighthening as I expected. And there seem to be less words about how the characters feel. And I must say less face to face conflict. And everything was expectable. I was surprised that it was supposed to be the climax. Oh well, I guess it's pretty hard to write a good book. 4/5.
-.- Nevertheless, it was a great book about resposibility and humanity. A good read indeed.

Synopsis
An ancient evil has arisen- freed from its subterranean prison and seeking to eascape its final bound- the binding of the two silver hemispheres which prevent it from finally unleashing its terrible powers. Lirael, newly come into her inheritance as the Abhorsen-in-Waiting iknows that the fate of the world is in her hands. With only the vision of the Clayr to guide her, and the uncertain help of her comnpanions - Sam, the Disreputable Dog and Mogget- Lirael sets out on her perilous mission. The answer lays  beyond the Ninth Gate of the Death. Can Lirael- a former Second Assistant Librain- resist the Ninth Gate's summons and reach into the past for the answer and defeat the Destroyer... before it is all too late? Read it NOW!!!

Ella Enchanted

Written by Gail Carson Levine
Published by Harper Collins
272 Pages
 (now a motion-picture)

Blogger's Note
A simple story at it's best, Ella Enchanted is a mixture of a curse and Cinderella. I guess it's entertaining, and since I borrowed it from a local library, I can't say it's nolt worth my money. Awarded the Newberry Award, it is an okay story for me. I had expected more conflict, but it was still okay. Don't worry, such books only have a happy ending. 4/5.

Sypnosis- (I just straight away copy from the website, out of time)
At her birth, Ella of Frell was the unfortunate recipient of a foolish fairy's gift--the "gift' of obedience. Ella must obey any order given to her, whether it's hopping on one foot for a day and a half, or chopping off her own head! But strong-willed Ella does not tamely accept her fate. Against a bold backdrop of princes, ogres, giants, wicked stepsisters, and fairy godmothers, Ella goes on a quest to break the curse--once and for all.
