Book Review #7

And soooooo... after sooo long not updating this blog, I'm finally updating it!
KK, so to cut the long story short, in my lunchbox this week is....

Everlost
Neal Shusterman

Published by Scholastic Inc.

Blogger's Note
This is a damn nice book. I really like it. A 5/5 for it. I prefer the beggining a little more though. And for some unknown reason, I hate Mary. yeah, I'm the one that always hate people who are too good to be true. And sometime they are. I prefer people with more flaw (in a story that is). But the ending of the story is a little fairy tale-ish.... If you get what I mean. But still, a great book worth reading! IT'S AWESOME!

Synopsis

Ali and Nick both got caught in an accident. Both did not survive. Instead they found themselves in a realm between death and life called Everlost, a shadow of the real world. Soon, they were escorted by a boy named Lief and learned a few things. If you stand too long at the same spot you will sink into the center of the earth. And all the inhabitants of Everlost are children. And there is this kind Mary Hightowers, which seem to be like a godess to the others. Is there a way out of Everlost, or do they have to wander in this undead realm, forever?

Cirque Du Freak (The Vampire's Assitant Book 1)

Written by Darren Shan

Published by Harper Collins

Blogger's Note
Personally I find the story quite flat and boring. 4/5 is the max I could give. It's ok though if you just need somethi ng to read at the moment.

Synopsis
All Darren wanted was Madame Octa. All he wanted was to get the spider and leave. But that all changed when he found out that his best friend, Steve, wants to be a vampire. But he became the vampire instead. It all started with the Freak Show. If only he did not go to the freak show... everything would be normal... be the same... but it wasn't... And so, the story starts...

The Awakening

Written by Kelley Armstrong

Published by Orbit

Blogger's Note

It was pretty disappointing, compared to the first. But still ok, pretty chilche though. 4/5 for this one. Wish Chloe could become more powerful...

Synopsis

And with the Edison group hot on their heels, they need to find Simon's father, Kit, soon, and fast. Can Chloe keep her power at bay, or will she destroy herself? Let the chase begin.

Firebirds- An Antology
Editor: Sharryn November
Published by Firebird Publishing
491 pages

Blogger's Note

Awesome antology. Some stories are really nice. I love "Remember Me" by Nancy Farmer. Gonna read her stories as soon as they let me borrow the House of Scorpions ( I think) which is now on display... A nice collection of magic and fantasy and a sprinkle of romance. Perfect for fantasy lovers. And tell you what, there is a comic too, but it is very boring... :) 4.5/5

Synopsis

Idk what to write for this section. So I'll just bawl on and on. Ok. So all I can say that it is very nice for light reading. READ IT!!!
